Extreme Water Loss- Livonia, MI

Multi-Floor Loss

Starting on the second story, a toilet supply line failure caused severe damage throughout an entire home. Water damage occurred first on the upper level, then to the main level living rooms and bedrooms, finally into the basement. Worst of all, the damage took place for over 2 weeks while the family was on vacation.

The before picture displays an area of the basement that occurred damage. As you can see there is a water bubble on the ceiling, which burst. There is a vast amount of contents throughout the basement. SERVPRO of Livonia had to act quickly to restore as many items as possible. First, it was a matter of clearing the items out to allow for demolition and structural drying. 

Next, SEVPRO Livonia had to evaluate and clean each item in order to store and protect them. Not every item is able to be restored but SERVPRO goes the extra mile to not only save the customer money but also the insurance agency. 

The second photo, is of the same space after it has been cleared out and dried. After a 2 week window, mold has set in and extensive damage has occurred. Our goal was to get this area dry as fast as possible in order to salvage the structural pieces that were in place. After a short period of time the area was ready for reconstruction. Without SERVPRO this home could have easily been overran with mold and unlivable.
