Commerical Water Damage- Livonia, MI
K2 Industrial Services experienced water damage throughout their building. SERVPRO Livonia reacted quickly to minimize their down time and restore their office as fast as possible.
Before
The photo to the left displays a large meeting room. The carpet has mold and the drywall has begun to soak up water. The loss had occurred 2-3 days before it was discovered by employees.
After
To prevent further damage and to minimize repairs, the wall was cut 3 feet from the floor. This prevents water to continue to wick further up the wall.
The carpet in this case is removed. Depending on the level of saturation and padding, there are several ways to restore carpet. This carpet was overly saturated and had molded before SERVPRO arrived. Unfortunately, it could not be saved. With a quick evaluation the crew chief is able to recognize the restoration ability of the carpet. When a carpet is removed, it helps to accelerate the drying process.
After just a few days, the building was ready and prepared for restoration. With reconstruction, the meeting room is restored to better than before.
