Not all water damage comes from burst pipes and failed appliances. Heavy rain waters can cause severe damage to a home. Michigan is well known for having days of rain or snow. These homeowners came home to a basement filled with 6"-8"of storm water.

Storm water passes through the foundation, drywall, and other material when it enters the home and settles. With the water carrying unknown contaminates, it is best to have a restoration team to handles the situation.

After

SERVPRO Livonia, removed the water from all the carpeting, tile, and cemented areas.  SERVPRO worked around the larger furniture to save time and prevent possible damage to the walls. The drywall from about 2' up was removed to prevent further damage. Much of restoration work is to prevent further damage and to prepare the space for reconstruction.
